The State Council has decided to make the following amendments to the "National New Year Holidays and Memorial Day Holiday Measures": Article 2 is amended to read: "All citizens have holidays:

(1) New Year, 1 day off (January 1);

(2) Spring Festival, 3 days off (Lunar New Year's Eve, the first day and the second day of the first month);

(3) Tomb-sweeping Day, 1 day off (the day of Tomb-sweeping Day in the lunar calendar)

(4) Labor Day, one day off (May 1);

(5) Dragon Boat Festival, one day off (the day of Dragon Boat Festival in the lunar calendar);

(6) Mid-Autumn Festival, one day off (the day of Mid-Autumn Festival in the lunar calendar);

(7) National Day, 3 days off (October 1, 2 and 3). "

In addition, the text of individual provisions has been revised. This decision shall come into effect on January 1, 2008.

The "National New Year's Day and Memorial Day Holiday Measures" will be revised and re-announced according to this decision.
